Ed Huchins 'whatta pie' : i love this piece the fact that the book is contained within a clamshell take out box just adds the the context of the book. In doing so it creates more interest to see what is actually inside.
Wanted Posters: the concept of this book is great and the fact that its so small just makes you want to pick it up and see whats inside. The fact that the pages contain pockets also make you want to take them out to read what it has to say creating that intrest to do so.
Juke Box Quilts: I admire the fact that the book takes the form of what its context is and that it comes in its own plastic box. It some what makes it precious as its kept safe within the box.

This is another book by Francesca Iannacone, 'beautiful'. This one takes on a fashion based narrative and has the same concertina format. The only difference is the fact that some of the images contained within the piece seem to break out of the frame. The illustrations also add a vintage feel to the piece as the books are created by using text from other books to create a new narrative.
This piece is by Francesca Iannacone, 'together'. I love the format of the book as you open it out like a concertina. It almost appears more to be an ornament than a book but this is was is appealing about the piece.

Wallpaper!!!

Nina Chakrabarti:
All of these images were derived from objects found in a kitchen. Then each drawing/image was then taken in to photoshop to compose a layout for wallpaper design. The final outcome was four strips of lining paper that were slotted together to form one large piece. I like the fact that all the drawn images were composed into one large image, to create a statement wall within a living space creating a life size replica of the chosen items.

Christine Berrie.(vis lang.)

Berrie uses mixed media very effectively within her drawings and they all have a very distinct style to them. With using such media a nice quality of line and texture is created.

Another photo from the Psychedelic dreams of the jelly fox exhibition:
I like the use of inventive materials such as paper plates and pages from magazines.

MEAT CAT?????
I really like the composition of this piece as it enhances the subject matter of the image. It makes it appear more ghost like with the shadowing behind it!!!
This is another image from the exhibition; again the short verse adds another level to the image and the small illustrations just seem to compliment the text.
Psychedelic dreams of the jelly fox: I think its great that the choice of canvas is to paint on to plates!!!some of these can actually be seen on the Mighty Boosh shows if you watch carefully. Each plate seems to portray a different characteristic and/or expression.

Noel Fieldings art exhibition: Psychedelic Dreams Of The Jelly Fox!!!
During reading week I went to London to visit this exhibition and it was set above a cute little patisserie shop called Maison Bertaux. It was nice that his work was displayed in this way it felt very personal as it wouldn't have had the same atmosphere if it were set in a commercial gallery.
This image is taken from Noel Fieldings art exhibtion in London. I love the illustrations on the wall and the poem that supports the image. It creates this sense of comedy that is put across in his work.
